Moonlight Dance
As a child, beneath the moon's soft glow
I was a ballerina, was putting on a show.
I was dancing naked just the moon and me.
Barefoot on the ground I felt so wild and free.
Years have flown but memories linger on
Of romantic dances to love's sweetest song.
Whispers in the night, hearts that beat as one.
With a moonlight dance our love has once begun.
Moonlight dance in the garden of dreams.
Underneath the stars I was a magic queen.
A sisterhood around a fire bright.
We are sharing our strength in the lunar light.
We are dancing in the moonlight in a gentle sway
In touch with each other and with nature's way.
Moonlight dance in the garden of dreams.
Underneath the stars we all are magic queens.
Sitting with my mom. Her memories drift away.
But under the moon's soft face her spirit finds a way.
"I just wish for one more dance," she sighs,
"Underneath the moonlit skies."
Moonlight dance in the garden of dreams.
Underneath the stars she's still my magic queen.
We all are magic kings and queens.
